Giraffe & Gemsbok

£29

This colourful design is of giraffes and gemsbok sharing space on the African plain.

The Gemsbok is a large antelope of striking appearance with long, spearlike horns. The most distinctive features of the heavily built gemsbok are its long, rapier-shaped horns and striking black and white facial markings.

Giraffes are fascianting animals. Paintings of giraffes appear on early Egyptian tombs; giraffe tails were prized for the long wiry tuft hairs used to weave belts and jewellery. Today giraffes are numerous in East African countries and also in certain reserves of Southern Africa.
