Moon Landing (sub. Earth and Beyond)
Get ready for an extraordinary journey into the great unknown that is space! The new collection Final Frontier is our celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the Moon Landing on July 20th, 1969. The pictures are published by the American space administration NASA and have been digitally restored to enhance the amazing details of the historical space journey.
50 years ago: At 10:39 p.m. EDT on July 20, 1969, Commander Neil Armstrong opened the "Eagle's" hatch and squeezed through. He inched slowly down the 10-foot, nine-step ladder, stopping along the way to activate a television camera that would transmit his image to Earth. At 10:56 p.m., he sank his left foot into the powdery soil of the Moon and radioed the sentence that, thought of just a few minutes before, earned him a place in history: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
We all know the famous quote that buzzed through radios all over the world back in 1969 when Neil Armstrong landed on the Moon as the first man in history. Back then, the sound of the transmitted landing was blurry and the television pictures blurred, but with the Final Frontier collection from The Dybdahl Co. the historical event is now visually crystal clear.
The prints are available in sizes 32x32 cm and 63x63 cm including a black frame.
